dangerous design flaw,
Stay away, these dumbbells suck. They have a design flaw where the weight adjustment pin gets stuck ALL the time. There’s nothing worse than being in the middle of a workout and having to spend 15-20 mins with tools to try and fix an equipment problem. Additionally, even if you are able to get the pin into your desired slot, they may not always grab the weight, meaning the weight plates can fall out when lifted. I’ve only had these a couple weeks and nearly dropped weights on my toes twice.
I got these because of the low price, but the Bowflex Selecttech 552s I had several years ago were a much better value for not much more money. Because I wouldn’t feel right offloading these on someone else (like I said, they’re dangerous), I’m going to throw these in the trash and go buy a pair of the Bowflex dumbbells.

|Used Them Once, Never Again,
I changed the weight successfully a couple of times then somehow I screwed it up pretty badly, I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get it back into some kind of working condition and then I just gave up. Definitely the most difficult and awkward set of adjustable dumbbells I’ve ever used. I returned them within 2 days.

I’ve been using these weights daily for over a year doing P90x and up to this point have experienced no issues what so ever with quality. I am very careful when doing sets not to drop the weights but they work great. I have noticed these weights under different brand names( I have golds gym version) but they are the same across brands. They seem to just have a different brand label and in some cases different color.
